The Twenty Minute Workout!

Let's face it . . . time is money.  And these days we don't have a lot of either.  And being that our day is busy with all the things to do, we can't forget about ourselves in the process.  Neglecting our bodies because we say our schedules are too hectic.

Hence the 20 min workout!!!  Truly, I advocate 1 hr per day of physical activity to everyone.  The level of intensity will vary depending on individual differences.  Come on, let's face it.  There are 24 hours in the day.  If we can't dedicate 1 hour (less than 5% of our day) to ourselves, something is seriously amiss in our lives.

Now, with that said, the 20 minute workout is a way to break up the day, or to start to change your habits within your normal day.  And what's great is that it can be done anywhere . . . no excuses!  It will consist of four basic exercises.  Three of the four are compound movements.  (A compound movement means the movement incorporates multiple muscle groups).

  1. THE PUSH-UP

  2. THE PULL-UP OR VARIATION OF ONE

  3. THE BODY SQUAT

  4. THE SIT-UP

All exercises should be performed in a consecutive motion. . . one after the other.  No rest between sets, or as little as possible.  Doing every exercise to failure every time.  Basically it's called a circuit in "the biz".  If you need a description of the exercises, go to my exercises tab to view good form and execution.
